Love that! I think the campaign ad saying "I will be your retribution" gave everyone the idea that justice is coming. His reversal was interesting communication; everyone heard him say he would be our retribution.

retribution - punishment inflicted on someone as vengeance for a wrong or criminal act

"Vengeance" may be a loaded term, but this definition sounds exactly like justice. If you get hanged or shot for treason, that's a form of vengeance/justice/retribution.

Scumbags did many wrong and criminal acts that they need punishment for, and that society needs to see them punished for.
