Trump LOST Iowa in 2016 to Ted Cruz, 27.6% to 24.3%. Trump just secured 51% of the vote by himself in 2024. That’s a seismic shift. Even if the anti-Trumpers were to go all-in on one candidate, they STILL couldn’t beat Trump.
(Note: in the post headline, I changed "won't it by 30" to "won it by 30" because, well, the original could only have been a typo).
To be honest we have to give some cred to his opponents - he beat their asses pretty wall and in retrospect they were pretty good candidates considering we used to get guys like McStain and Romney. I would take a Vivek or a DeSantis over one of those guys any day.
So it actually makes the win look that much stronger. Exciting stuff.
Agreed. And good point as well. Last time we had a bunch of RINO assclowns like Jeb and Kasich. I would consider Vivek as well.
DeSantis is a shame. I've often said 2028 nom is his to lose. And he just lost it. Had he hung back, supported Trump, and spent more time in Florida building his brand he could easily have been president in 2028. But I guess its a good thing his lack of character came out now and not later. Shame too, he's a helluva gov.
The only reason DJT is a candidate we can trust is because he has PERSONAL WEALTH & BIG BRAND.
If you are a Gov, Senator, and most important House districts, you are most likely controlled & paid for before an election even happens. The Deep Stste does not play around and leave opportunity for their control to end.
DJT had to most likely even have help in 2016 to beat the system
