Why is easy. One can still enjoy quite a good life if they don't rock the boat to much. Whereas open resistance will get you killed, imprisoned, disgraced, harassed, and fired from your job. Look what they're trying to do to Trump and he's a billionaire President.

Plus those of us that believe in God are restrained in the methods we can use to fight and sadly the peaceful methods we are left with really pale in effectiveness to the ones that break the Ten Commandments..
