I mean duh.

Redheads & blondes that can't even tan (they become pink) are not the types of humans that evolve in a desert/hot climate.

So everyone else in the area has olive skin (i.e. enough melamin to change the skin color to match the plentiful sun) but the chosenites don't? because they're chosen, right? That's why they look different than anyone else in the area?

Or maybe they are not from there to begin with.
