I live around S.E. Texas and in the Houston TV market. A while back, they reported a tanker truck overturned and it was holding 80 thousand gallons of whatever. I tweeted the reporter and told her that max capacity of a tank truck/trailer was only 7000gallons.she actually PM'd me that she can not correct the teleprompter that she reads from without getting Reprimanded! I agree they should not sit and read knowingly false info. But that told me all I needed to know. The reporters are nothing more than talking heads. That reporter left the Houston market. No telling where she reports now. But she did seem concerned that she could get in trouble for going "off script".
