I've theorized in the past that just before they go scorched earth they'll have their talking head puppets tell the sheep that they, the "elite" are intentionally trying to kill them, and by announcing it now they hope that lawlessness ensue. They'll tell everyone the doctors and pharmacists knew and took money to trick people and the panicked should hunt them down first. After a day or so they'll mess up the internet... then release the invader illegal aliens. Whatever drives the chaos. Then the tweet.
