Forgiveness is only applicable if they REPENT, not apologize, turn around. Best parallel I have is Saul killing followers of Jesus. Saul repented, was forgiven....not very easily trusted by the church, but forgiven by Jesus.

I'll have to walk this out when it presents itself, but human side is absolutely NO, it will be all turning my face to Christ and remembering I did far worse to Him.
