Plastic surgery can take away and add things. Hollywood is supreme at these things. Scars or scar-less faces, etc. Then there are crisis actor flesh wounds, grossly bleeding, drama, cameras, story, lies. It is not surprising that an ear is modified to fit an actor. Spock had great ears.
