in all honestly, what is happening right now is closer to insurrection than anything that happened on J6. Not only did Gov Abbott call up the National Guard and have them stand in defiance to Biden's agencies, he did so in defiance of a standing court order from the Supreme Court. So when 25 other states stand in solidarity with Texas, they aren't just standing together against invasion--they're standing against the federal agents aiding the invasion, and standing against a Supreme Court that ordered them to stand down. This is the organized equivalent of the Bundy Ranch standoff all over again.

my understanding is that they ruled the barb wire must be taken down. whether they told Texas to do it or our expecting them to allow the feds to do it, they are in defiance of a court order
Texas Constitutional right to secure the rights of their Texas American citizens, trumps any federal court order under The Constitution.
well that's what we fought the civil war over, ultimately. i wonder if everyone is ready for round 2? the federal government does not like being told to piss off
They better get used to it.
the last time the states said that it was civil war. and the time before that it was the revolutionary war. we are at the brink, unless one side or the other blinks
The BP can take the barbed wire down per the SC ruling, but the SC did not say that Texas couldn’t put it back up. The SC did not, in my understanding, prevent Texas from doing anything.
the entire reason the national guard is standing there is to prevent the border patrol from accessing the wire to take it down. which they would do if they could get to it, and which the supreme court has said they have the right to do if they want, and texas does not have the right to block them.
