Honestly it won't matter.

1. Their intellect will limit them to service jobs like cooks, supply, laundry jobs etc.
2. if anyone thinks public school diplomas are worth a crap they are wrong.
3. I knew illiterate men with h.s. diplomas back in 1983 and the navy put them through special schools together them going. Many of them became very good sailors and some even leaders.
4. The benefit to society is the military is very good at educating people. I had a h.s. diploma and really it did nothing for me in the navy. However the navy gave me great education. I got college educated on board my ship with the PACE program. I retired 22 years ago and ran several businesses and had a C suite job until I finally retired a couple of years ago.

The experience took me from being a poor barely educated kid to a productive member of society, husband, father of 4 and gramps to 8. Of my 4 kids 3 have degrees. Aerospace and Nurse and IT cyber security. One has no degree, became a spcops jarhead and now owns their own company.

This will help some who lack opportunity in great ways and society will benefit.

Good on them. Now get rid of the trannies and woke morons and we should be fine.

Also; army asvab is like 28 to get in. Been that way forever. No diploma no big deal.
