Second ER visit in 2 weeks, this time with my ill husband who had fallen and suffered bad cut to head. I was astounded by the incompetence in the ER. No doctors, just a nurse practitioner there this time.

I was just in the ER last week with my daughter, who is 34. She had an earache and jaw pain. After a bunch of bs, I told him to keep it cheap as we’re paying cash over time. He asked, ”Well, what do you want? She really should see an ENT.” I said “Can we try some antibiotics?” I told him that she was just in urgent care a week before and they prescribed steroids and an anxiety pill! No antibiotics. She’s had a tonsil stone stuck for a month and a half. They all looked at it and said it looked okay. Nvm the sharp pain in her jaw and ear. He prescribed Keflex. Lo and behold, 8 hours after the first dose the pain stopped. I told her to stay on track with them for three days and stop. It’s been a week now since we went the second time and so far, so good. I’m floored that I have to come up with a simple solution. This isn’t the first time, either. These people are lost. Mid intelligence, at best. Now, I’m praying that she gets the stone out so we don’t repeat this.
