Meme pages, coworkers, etc. have no interest in the Super Bowl. People are beginning to see that these playoffs were all a sham to get Taylor Swift and the Chiefs a Super Bowl victory maximizing money.
Jokes on the NFL though. Even some of my braindead normie coworkers see through it. Nobody wants to watch. Everyone assumes KC will be given the game by the refs/NFL. Unfortunately for the NFL if they want to save their reputation they are gonna have to rig it for the 49ers.
Amazing how these normies can see it in the NFL but can’t/refuse to see it in every other facet of life.
Speaking of football being rigged, I saw a lot of college football fans wake up after watching #1 Georgia and undefeated #4 FSU get shafted for Bama in the playoffs.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Nick Saban's sudden retirement announcement is him getting ahead of something.
Georgia lost the SEC championship game they deserved to be left out. FSU got fucking screwed though. I am a Washington Huskies fan and with the death of the Pac 12 I decided this was my last season. Been going to UW games my whole life. But that was the final straw throwing away 100+ years of tradition for the pursuit of money was it for me.
Georgia lost, but both that game and the Iron Bowl were weird this year. SEC fans were cracking jokes about referees all season long.
FSU, on the other hand? That was pure politics and BS and I've had the same SEC fans cracking jokes about referees tell me that it was because FSU had a "cupcake schedule". Bullshit. ESPN is owned by Disney; you can't tell me that didn't play a small part in this.
It was done purely for ratings. Bama vs Michigan was massive ratings. FSU without their starting QB vs Michigan was perceived to be a snooze fest so FSU got screwed.
It turned into FSU without their starting anything against GA since most of the team sat out in protest. They should have just stood down as a whole team but that was a no-win situation all around.
FSU is my Alma Mater, so part of me wishes they'd shown up and fought like heck but the other part of me that doesn't really care about college football anymore hopes those kids see what's going on and adjust their career paths accordingly.
