Well, if one disagree with an issue, why not vote against it?
Walking out is just infantile, and it is obstructive, if not enough people are left for a proper vote. Kinda the purpose of being an elected official is to represent the people, and therefore vote on issues on the floor. Walking out defeats that purpose.
Duh.
Mind you, was there another reason why they refused to vote? Perhaps they weren't satsified that the issue was ready to be voted on. Who knows.
It seems a wee bit convenient to get rid of a whole slate of Republicans in an election-year.
Remember the Democrat legislators who skipped out on Wisconsin’s session during Governor Scott Walkers term in 2011? This has been a Democrat party strategy for sometime now! Oregon also has mail in voting!
Because unless a majority of the rest of the body also votes against it then it passes, whereas walking out can allow you to bring the process to a halt so it doesn't.
Erm. is that directed at me? LOL. Seems awfully like an ad hominem when we are all here discussing something under a semblance of free speech (only don't mention flat earth, or even comment on such threads because mods). Also, I spent a few years in Boston, so am aware of the mindset. LOL some more.
And yes, I am fully aware that Dems stage this sort of nonsense. All.The.Time.
This is why I mentioned the idea that it seemed really coinkidink that suddenly Repubs were taken off their seats in an election year.

exactly. 2-tiered justice.
No kidding.

Maybe it was yo save actual lives
Indeed
keep your sanctimonious piehole shut. Democrats stage walkouts over everything and no judge ever disqualified them from running for office again.

NVM if you didn't get that...
"walking out is just infantile" is what you said
Perhaps I should have added a /s to mark that part as sarcastic. I thought it was pretty obvio.
