Florida and Texas operate on a similar model since the Civil War. We are also trying to pass a gold/silver repository and make metals legal tender instead of a commodity.

I believe some of states already make gold/silver legal tender. I am not sure I heard TX or FL doing that just yet. I know Utah is.
