This is a wonderful series, I don't care who else like something that I like, it is Jesus we are talking about ! And the show is done so well . HE is available to all, it has nothing to do with personalities or celebrities. I would not say, "Jimmy Carter recommends the Bible, so that tells me all I need to know about that book!" The series humanizes the Gospel for many, and it could lead many to it.
“Whether for false motive or true, Christ is preached, and for this I rejoice .” Apostle Paul. Letter to Philippians. I’m not a fan of the series myself ( wanders from scripture a bit here and there) but if it brings anyone to the biblical Christ. I am glad.
