When you are a victim; you accept absolute zero responsibility for your actions. No personal accountability, No responsibility for your actions, past, present or future
You are the VICTIM so no matter what you do; it’s always someone else’s fault
And that has a huge appeal to the mentally immature
and most likely the reason "participation trophies" were introduced to kids, to make sure no one's feelz got hurt. they never learned that if they really wanted a trophy they would have to put the work in to get it.
