I am a member. They had to change this because they are a 501c3 and wanted to protect their tax exempt status. The daughters at Continental Congress last year freaked out and threatened to quit. Membership is determined at the chapter level not national. So take what you want from that. Who knows?
(One more reason to HATE 501c3 classification) Thank you for the information on this, it is appreciated. This just made me angry, so I requested a Trans-Insanity flair - my computer will not let me create one for some strange reason.
They can join the Sons, but no they have to destroy the Daughters.
They could swim on men's teams, but no, they have to destroy women's sports.
Girls too, could join the Girl Scouts but demanded to be in the Boy Scouts!
What abject LOSERS!
What about freedom of association of like individuals, who should not have to accommodate unlike individuals who in addition, already HAVE their own groups! They are not left out of anything. They just want to SMASH other people's groups.
Decades ago I gave up iconic brands like Levi and General Mills. I found local and off-brand cereals and granola and muesli which taste better! And better for you. Brands that rely on mass advertising cost more than they should. Someone has to pay those Madison Avenue big bucks advertisers! And the big bucks they donate to causes which have nothing to do with their core business or customer base.
We do not want our precious food dollars, to support nefarious causes!
I said decades ago, we are buying the future of our country with every nickel we spend. You are right, we should not compromise for habit or convenience. There are better options out there!
When my daughter was young I tried to find shoes not made in China. Most of her wearing apparel and shoes came from thrift shops. Kids grow out of things, so there were always things without a lot of wear. I figured, if the shoes were made in China, China did not get anything more if I bought them at the thrift shop.
I know it is hard to find alternatives! Keep trying!

Only mods can create on-the-fly custom flairs.
I'll change this one for you.

May their offices be given to someone else, who will uphold the 1st Amendment rights.
I had planned to join…guess I won’t now.
