The farmers crops get sold regardless of who turns them into beer. And as far as jobs large scale macro-breweries are the MOST labor efficient way of doing it. I'm quite happy to see de consolidation where a giant faceless multi-national corporation loses market shares to smaller brewers (although lets be honest they're probably losing most of it to other faceless multi-national corporations).

We need to make sure, collectively, that your first statement is true. A couple of years ago they started coercing the farmers to destroy their crops.
Companies like AB and Coors control the whole product start to finish. They own the barley and hop farms for their own beer.
