Well, that diversity hire, was the VICE-PRESIDENT OF MARKETING who claims her mandate was "to evolve the brand and make it more inclusive" which is exactly the type of mindless corporate DEI crap we're used to hearing about. This crap is all over, remember Target when they let men pretending to be women use whatever bathroom they wanted? What was their statement about it, "Inclusivity is a core belief at Target."
I do though, I've just dismissed it the same way I dismissed all the people thinking the helicopter ride the King of England this afternoon took is anything more than him flying to another of his estates. When there is a nice, simple, logical explanation for something that's probably what happened.
That Dylan dude has millions in sponsorships and plenty of other corporate entities are on board supporting the LGBTWTFBBQ crowd, so when I see another company do something stupid with it that burns them, like Target and the bathrooms or the pride clothing the other summer I see no reason to believe it has any different motivation or force behind it.
