In Orlando there used to be a lot of bicycles with gas-powered motors on bicycles. There was even a bicycle fix-it shop that did installs. These bikes were hazardous to regular bikes in bike lanes and on the bike trails, but at least you can hear them. The main riders were men who lost their DL for DWI or did not pay child support.
Now these electric bikes are being driven by the scoundrels above, and a lot of others. Down Town Libtardville you can now add in the crappy scooters. It is very dangerous for pedestrians and regular cyclists, they are too quiet. The scooters are expensive to ride and people are too lazy to walk. WTH, I have a bum leg and I walk...
My bicycle (I Don't cycle much here in Nashville) Has a carbon fiber belt drive, no oiling, dirty pant legs, and the belt and sprockets last 3X longer than a chain and cassette. The bike has internal gearing in the bottom bracket, a 12-speed, state-of-the-art tech. in 2020, but the one thing it lacks is a motor. I'm the motor... The company that makes the bike only sells belt drive bicycles, and they have a new version of the gearbox and shifters that are electronic, that baby looks sweet! However, I'll just keep the 2020 model I have now.
To hell with these battery-powered anything, they are dangerous, and slave labor is mining the rare earth materials.
Also, parasitic loss with chain v belt! I've never seen a belt drive bicycle tho
