Are any of y'all getting sick with a crazy cough, unexplainable sore throat, or any other weird symptoms?
Wife and I did not get Covid vax, my oldest hasn’t had vax in 7 years and won’t have any more, and my youngest is completely vax free but we have still been catching all kinds of crap and I’m starting to wonder if there is something sketchy going on making people sick. We live a pretty normal life in a mid size city but the cough we got lasted weeks and went through all of us.
My son is in childcare a couple days a week and the older one goes to middle school so maybe we were unlucky and just caught some from their germs?
Just want some outside thoughts. I rarely get sick in the past.
Ever since Covid, every time I get sick I develop the worst type of cough I could ever imagine, and it lasts for MONTHS… in fact I usually am still getting over one cough by the time I get sick again.
So yes, definitely feel like I’m sick a bit more often, but I have 2 young kids in school and they are straight germ manufacturers so I think the amount of sicknesses is because of that… but I do wonder why the cough lasts for eons.
I am a smoker, so I know that doesn’t help at all, but it’s still way worse than it should be, only prednisone has really helped kick the cough quicker… for me.
If you can, run to Costco or Walmart and pick up the following:
KIDS: chew 3 or 4 Vitamin Cs every day (they taste pretty good) and then have them rinse their mouth with water or brush their teeth (to prevent acidity on their enamel).
DAD/MOM: take 10,000 mg of Vit C every day.
EVERYONE: take 1-2 PROBIOTICs every morning and every evening to re-arm your immune system.
HYGIENE: Begin a rule that everyone must wash hands immediately upon arriving home from school or work, (hand sanitizer is worthless) and all cell phones must be wiped with cotton pad and 50% rubbing alcohol each day.
I did this with my kids and was shocked at how it immediately stopped their constant runny noses and sore throats. And in recent years, a cough that just wouldn't die was quickly stopped when I instituted the above protocol.
Here's what Vit. C does for us:
"Vitamin C is a potent water-soluble antioxidant that gives the immune system a boost through its increase in T-lymphocyte activity, phagocyte function, leukocyte mobility, and possible antibody and interferon production.
Its effects on the immune system may also be potentially explained through protection against oxidative stress generated during infections.
Vitamin C is not produced endogenously in humans and is therefore an essential dietary component..."
