the one thing i hate about people is any one who knows anything spills the damn beans on our capabilities. If we cant ramp up production of munitions and tell the world, we cant do that, WHY..... I hate the news in this country.
I understand not wanting a war, but if we tell people yeah, we can do short bursts, then if someone actually attacks us, then what.
Temperamentally, I agree with the annoyance. But the reality is that in a time of sophisticated economic and operations analysis buttressed by overhead reconnaissance, this is not the kind of secret that can be maintained as a secret.
Which is worse? Our public doesn't know but the opponents do? Do do we let the public know?

I would try and make it so we wouldn’t have to worry about it. But yeah, some times not saying anything and bluffing is how the game is won
