From what I've read, she's treated him like a doormat. Including making her husband go by his middle name after they met, because she thought he looked more like a "Michael" than a "William." So, his family and friends pre-Niki still refer to him by his first name. While her crowd goes by "Michael." It made me sad that she would show so little respect for him in that.
