I've seen posts on social media about how today's sports are basically the "Bread and circuses" to distract the masses from holding governments accountable. If they, and entertainment are distractions, does that mean that post-Awakening, sports and entertainment will be banned?

"Banning" something that is not directly a violation of a persons inalienable Rights is the action of a totalitarian regime. If they are banned, I suggest we may not have had the GA we thought we were going to get.
The GA is (I believe) intended to show people not only what's really been going on behind the scenes, but what they have kept hidden from us about our world. I think Reality will become a lot more interesting, and distractions from Reality will become a lot less enticing.
Whatever happens, I think (I hope) it will be an organic development. Looking into our past, I can't find any truly "organic" events. Even if the evidence suggests some movement or idea starts that way (not started as an intentional tool of controlled opposition by the Cabal), they either become controlled opposition after the fact (subverted), or they are stamped out of existence.
It is my hope we become the masters of our own mind space. If a large enough group want sports, then let there be sports. I personally am a sucker for sci-fi and fantasy (dragons, magic, etc.), especially thought provoking and philosophical endeavors in those genre's. I think most of what we have has been designed to control those thoughts, pushing us towards certain innovations or ideals, and preventing us from us exploring others. I personally think it would be interesting to see what an organic entertainment industry would look like.
