This reminds me of our pastor. He would be shocked to know how many people in that church (even most of the ones who work alongside him and sit across tables in meetings from him) talk about how out of touch he is. We have a lunch social every second Sunday, and this man insists on having his own separate room with his handpicked people rather than eating with the whole congregation as his predecessor did.
True. My "real" church is the church's kitchen where I volunteer several times a week. If it weren't for my family in that kitchen I'd have left a long time ago.
