If they do not adhere to the Constitution of these United States, they should not have applied for statehood and do not deserve statehood, and if they adhere to something else, they should stop being a state. I never agreed with an island nation with completely different heritage being a state to begin with. We could have other islands for land "aircraft carriers", without making them a state of OUR Union!

FYI, you should check your history. Hawaii's Queen was locked within her own castle, and she was forced by America to give up the kingdom to save her beloved Hawaiian people. Hawaii was overthrown--America called the overthrow "annexed."
