This seeds the narrative for a psyop of a cyber attack that gives the DS the ammo to shut down the elections or accuse Russia of hacking the elections. They think we're stupid.
The only thing that's confusing on the timing is that IMO the cyber-attack angle happens closer to the election than this.
Yes I agree, however we could have 'mini' cyber attacks (as we've already been having)along the way prepping for the big one.
