What about indoor hydroponics. I'd think about that. Are there growing lamps that substitute for sunlight
There are but gonna need to scale up the solar system some more plus need much more inside space.
Indoor hydroponics are great for green leafy vegetables, but not so great for vining type fruits and veggies (squash/zucchini/melons). I've seen strawberry varieties work ok that aren't the vining kind. For super limited space growing sprouts is a good idea. They don't even need special lights. Cannabis also grows well indoors. You know, for barter and shit.
Oh also, there are some fruit tree varieties that can produce a little bit of fruit on your balcony. Dwarf mangoes, called condo mangoes, do fairly well in a 10 gallon pot. Lemons and limes are basically bushes and also do well in containers. Lots of blueberry farm grow the bushes in containers.
