Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Spring in 30 days 👏☘️💐🪻🌱🌷🌿
March 10 🌅 sunset @ 7:15
I’m a spring baby ready for warmer temps & longer days in the ☀️
Thank You God for beautiful seasons. I’m ready for the next season of the year and with each new season becoming a better person stronger in my walk with Jesus.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
There’s even a song about this Bible verse.
The Byrds: Turn! Turn! Turn!
I'm up early, and your post caught my eye. I remember The Byrds and that song, (yeah, I'm old)!
I saw what looked like an album cover in that video you posted. Being a Gordon Lightfoot fan, I had to check it out.
Came up with this:

They say it may, or may not, be Gordon.
This website backs that up.

This appears to be an unofficial release. I've also never heard of Koala records.
Here's some images of the cover, including the one in The Byrds video:

Thanks for the fun sleuthing on this snowy Sunday dawn!
I’m not a spring chicken. I’ll be 57 in a couple months. Oh, that’s scary saying it out loud. I’ve never cared about age until the past years with health problems I’m struggling to fix. Slowly getting there. I approached every milestone birthday as just another year. Always said, I’m like Jimmy Buffet. I don’t know what I’m going to be when I grow up No matter the obstacles in my head I was still in my twenties. Sure denial but it helped me to have a good attitude about aging. Now it’s scary knowing how close I am to 60. Not to bad though I’ve got some health goals I’m working on to get healthy to enjoy my life.
I’ve always loved that song. 70s is my favorite music era. I’m aware of Gordon Lightfoot & like his songs but don’t know his collection. I should listen to him sometime. Glad you found a new Lightfoot song.
I'm so happy I'm finally going to have Medicare. When Obamacare came out, where I was at you had to work full time to get health insurance, so they refused to give anyone fulltime hours. I think I started counting down the years to medicare at 15!
Gordon has a voice as smooth as honey. One of my favorites is Minstrel of the Dawn.
The 70's is one of the few decades with some great music. I do prefer the older stuff.
That’s great someone that’s worked all their life deserves to get what is promised. I listen to anything from the 60s forward, maybe some 50’s that get thrown into a playlist for 60-70. I was a teenager in the 80s and love the rock music. Listen to old and new country but selective as to who I listen to. Mainly singer songwriters that write amazing lyrics about life. Later Elvis, 70s will always be in my top rotation. Jimmy Buffet has always been a favorite. Right now I’m listening to Red Stray Clays a lot. I jump from one era to another depending on mood. The reason for my username, Moody Blue by Elvis. I chose music daily according to my mood. Led Zeppelin if I’m sad and sad soft rock songs when I’m happy. I know a little extra and crazy. My very top of my list is always in the current rotation weekly. Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton, Brent Cobb, Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers (check him out. Has an usual voice and some of the best lyrics I’ve heard). You are going to make me do a deep dive into Lightfoot. I know his music. When it comes on serisxm in the car I hear him and wonder who it is and singing every word. There’s a lot of people from the 70s I don’t recognize but know the music. I’m making a playlist when I hear something old I know. Great chatting. Music is wonderful!
