When I was growing up, I said this everyday! Day in and day out! I put my little hand over my heart and I pledged allegiance to This United States Flag, before I knew, what any family Memeber had done to Serve it Proudly! Before I knew anything!
Because, It Is My Flag! It is America! Where I was so graciously humble to be born! The Greatest Nation! No matter what! Land of The Free and Home of The Brave!
And I grew up Thinking that. Like most , my heritage dates back. And I'm as Proud as they are. I've got military background.
But... this post.. my sister is going to be a substitute teacher. And she starts tomorrow. And I know, She will not start her class with what I grew up with and possibly some of ya'll! Even in high-school.
Putting our hands over Our Hearts. And saying.
I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag....
Joy, I met Reagan as a child! In a farmers field! I'll never forget. Lol his ss was all over my hair ( I had a ton of naturally curly hair back then as a child) . My Great Grandma pushed her way up to the front and he kissed me on the cheek! My family are farmers from Illinois. This was way back. Yes ma'am!
Wow...what a wonderful experience that must have been! He kissed your cheek...how sweet! Good for your Great Grandma! So excited for you to have this memory! 🤗
I wonder how many school districts have pulled the Pledge out of the classrooms because it's too divisive? All schools need to be looked at very hard to see if they are teaching AMERICAN values. If not, then close them and refund the taxpayers of that school system.
Totally agree! My sister is going to substitute for the first time tomorrow. I sent her. Say the pledge of allegiance!
I doubt she will. But, if she is who she says she is... haha.
Said it everyday in grade school.
And, said a Prayer, too!
I went to Lutheran school, so yes , prayer, memorization! I get it. Times have changed so much.
Lol I'm in GA, thankful.
And yet, your state is run by some of the most corrupt and evil RINOs in the country, a bunch of Demonrats in sheeps' clothing.
I never said this is my Home state! But, yes, it is! I won't, can't and will not disagree with You! What's Your point?
What state are you in? Is it any better? And if so, wonderful!

And it just breaks my Heart!
Thanks. Jak
I think every proud American feels the same Jak! After Reagan, they smothered our national pride with globalism. And POTUS brought it all back!

This is not far from the cemetery where my dad is buried at! In Chapin Illinois. So, I must have been around 5 or 6 when I met him. Raegan. Family.
