Banks buying up, changing rules.
We have one credit card, Lowe’s. Only because we can get something at a discount and pay it off with in the next month. It was hard but we got out of debt. Have one car payment. Hair paid so much they tell us we don’t owe a payment till mid next year. Hubby is paying more each month to pay it off early. They don’t want that because they loose money. Thirty years ago we were in such horrible debt it was a struggle to buy groceries for the week. If we can’t afford it we don’t buy.
I have about 10. Each one paid me roughly $200 each upon opening in some form of bonus and to maximize the 5% bonuses.
Used to travel a lot for work so I had the Delta Amex for the earlier boarding, bonus miles, and free checked bags and the Holiday Inn card which easily paid for itself over the years.
Had the Uber card back when that was around which had 3% or 5% back on restaurants in the form of Uber credit which I used for work travel.
Amazon card of course for the 5% back there. Walmart too for the same reason.
Amex Blue for back in the day with the small business Satursday promos.
Amex Business for the 5% back on telco services.
