Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat

Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.

Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I’m watching this video on the subject of Carnivore diet. It’s long and different topics covered. This is Dr Anthony Caffee with practicing Carnivore influencer/coach. At 56 mark they start discussing cholesterol, testing, most doctors aren’t up on the latest research (cholesterol is good for you), testing & testing for Thyroid, says different labs are used for medical blood tests and they give different results for the same tests on a person. It’s refreshing hearing a doctor talk about the lies in the medical system.
Dr Chaffee Cholesterol, thyroid, medical tests
Yeah if you starve the body of cholesterol, it creates its own cholesterol, because its is necessary for critical things like brain etc. The statins "reduce" cholesterol by inhibiting body generating its own Cholesterol.
There was a university professor who shamed a student publicly for asking the question in class as to what the side effects of Statin are. This got other students so weirded out that they started digging in, and uncovered that the Professor sat on the board of multiple pharmaceutical companies, and later it also turned out that he owned a lot of shares as well.
Statins are the most evil medicine and Cholesterol is the biggest medical scam (ofc before Covid).
The only thing you need to worry about is the ratio of Tri-glycerides and the HDL/LDL.
Most of the cholesterol you eat is not even absorbed by the body, it maintains the blood levels itself and makes more in the liver if you go on a low-cholesterol diet. High cholesterol is a symptom of possible issues but attacking the cholesterol directly is like shooting the firefighters as they show up instead of putting out the building fire.
I agree and was against cholesterol medication years ago. They tried to prescribe and I kept refusing. I posted the video because he talks about lab results are different from different labs so you may get the wrong results. Most people don’t get labs until they are sick. With inaccuracies you may get the wrong treatments.
Yeah, but it goes beyond lab results. The numbers themselves do not mean what the medical community says it means. The entire Cholesterol scam started form a Long term Massachusetts study which followed a bunch of suburban families in one area for a decade or so, and crunched some numbers and declared that high cholesterol leads to higher chances of heart diseases.
This one scam spawned into numerous mini scams, including the demonisation of fats, pushing seed oils, and hiding the fact that sugars are the real killers, etc. that has ultimately lead to a very unhealthy population.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a newer similar scam in that the Free Testosterone number means little when you don't take into account that different people have varying levels of androgen receptor density that affects how they respond to testosterone. There are men who are clinically "low-T" who have no symptoms because they have high sensitivity from their genetics and still grow muscle easily, hence why they tend to blow up like crazy if they go on PEDs. On the other side there are weak responders who have such poor receptor density that you can pump them full of test or PEDs and they still stay relatively weak.
Also don't forget that going on either essentially makes you an addict as your body will shut down it's own testosterone production and potentially make you dependent on the TRT for the rest of your life to maintain normal levels. If you go off of it you muscle quickly starts to waste away like all those former Mr Olympia who don't look anything like in their prime while lifetime nattys can hold onto their gains all the way into old age. That's why we have the saying that "roid gains are rented gains."
