In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that he "strongly" supports the availability of IVF for couples "who are trying to have a precious baby."
"Today, I am calling on the Alabama Legislature to act quickly to find an immediate solution to preserve the availability of IVF in Alabama. The Republican Party should always be on the side of the Miracle of Life — and the side of Mothers, Fathers, and their Beautiful Babies,"
I am all for mothers, fathers and their beautiful babies also. However, since the IVF journey began, I've had concern over the many babies conceived thru IVF that don't get implanted in a mother's womb. Is it okay that so many must die (or remain forever frozen) so that mom & dad get to have 1 or 2 children to love? Does the end justify the means? These are questions that humans may have to answer when they face the final judgment. May God have mercy on us if we are wrong.
I can't be sure of this, but from what my daughter tells me, I don't think they "remain frozen forever", but it's limited to 5 years...at least it is in the northern state she lives in.
And then what happens to the embryos, if there is no womb for them?
Exactly...I don't know, but assume they are destroyed?
I've asked her about this and she doesn't know for sure, either. So many of her friends are doing this as infertility is rising and it's harder for them to conceive naturally.
Yes, they are destroyed.
