And when your local water district goes down, how are you gonna get some water to drink? That is why prepping and long term thinking is necessary for when the hard times come. Just ask some refugees from third world countries how they survived when they were pushed out of their houses by a dictatorial regime. Many Eastern Europeans can tell you some wild stories on survival in a first world society when the lights and water get turned off. Will it ahppen in America? In small pockets, yes, like NYC and LA. Folks living in the heartland will fare better, but you'd better be ready.
