Their own language was the whole reason I avoided this place to begin with! I remember YEARS ago, like when we were first hearing of Starbucks, being sent by a group of friends with this "grande" "Latte" and whatever-ey words I was supposed to use. I stumbled a lot, the cashier lady was nice and helped me out. I still sweat going to Starbucks if I have to, and will say "the largest size" or "medium" and they usually look a little annoyed I am not speaking their language. It's embarrassingly ridiculous that their "hip" words and foo foo coffee has infiltrated our society. By the way, if I HAVE to go, for whatever reason, I will get a tea for like $2.50. it's not bad and not a liquid candy bar.
It's been mentioned Starbucks is in the milk business, not the coffee business. Probably sell way more flavored milks than coffee.
I'm not sure what it was, but I've never liked them - somehow always knew they were a liberal leftist marxist operation. And their coffee sucks.
Could it be the burnt beans ?
A few hundred years ago hauling coffee beans in the hole of a wooden ship meant a well burn't bean was safer to drink. Now they're just ruined.
Yeah, you could say they taste like they came out of a house fire
