You can get a fake online phone number for talk and text at no charge. I did that when I was overseas. It forwards to your phone but no one knows where you are. You can keep the number for life.

Yes, a lot more. Grasshopper and Ooma are more business centered (faxes, voice mail, multiple extensions), but for an individual there are alternatives like FreedomPop, TextNow, TextFree, iNum, and about 20 more. Search for "free local number" for information.

I use old phone numbers. Ive also made fake numbers but it takes a few tries before theyre accepted. Theres probably a few people out there getting text notifications for shit they never signed up for.🤣🤣

If you have an old android phone, factory reset it, join wifi but don't insert Sim card, then go thru setup, it will allow you to create a Gmail account that can be used for youtube.
Besides something like Google Voice, you could get a really cheap prepaid burner phone just for the number. But that's not free.

I just use my old yahoo to create YouTube acct to comment then gmail, that way ca skip phone part.
I think if u create new gmail acct then it require phone, that is really bad system, when I clear cookies I could never able to get my account back since I changed my phone #
