During the pandemic, to my surprise, Google sent me summaries of every trip out of town I had taken monthly. At the end of the year I got a report of all the cities I had driven through. If i had flown, they included my layover cities. The health department texted me to offer $100 to take the shot, then followed up with a call the next day. I try not to go to the Dr., so I haven't been in about 7 years, which means I have not gotten a question about status. It's all unnerving.
Do you leave your mobile data or Wi-Fi turned on all the time?
Do you have your 'location' turned on all the time?
Do you have your microphone enabled all the time?
Do you leave your Bluetooth enabled all the time?
Are you signed up for 'track my iPhone'?
Do you use the Google navigator function every time you drive somewhere? And if so, Google asks if you want the trip recorded (or something like this) and if so, do you decline it or accept it?
Just wondering if any of the above was employed by them to track your movements. Otherwise, why would they send you a summary? I've never had that happen.
