I wouldn't mind women being a sideline reporter or pregame host as long as they know what they are doing, but that being said, women don't need to be in position to analyze any sport. ESPN is the worst at this. Exhibit A is Mima Kimes. She does have a nice face, but the closest she should be to football is as a sideline reporter.
Thankfully there is You Tube. This includes the channel Behind the Line which you might want to check out.
It is the ever growing emasculation of Males inside their comfort zones. What they have done to the NHL in the last few years is atrocious. The other day I was watching Golf and I had to turn off the sound. The yammering was incessant.
Then we have the Olympics, especially the ceremonies. There is constant talk over the action to the point that you wished the event was on C-Span. I mention that network because they almost always don't talk over the action of an event in progress and the only analysis comes from the viewers or from a guest during a pause in the action.
Then there is the timing of the ceremonies as most of the ceremonies are tape delay unless they originate from the United States or are foreign time zone friendly.
That C-span comment is very funny. The Olympics is the one time I will allow because it does somewhat enrich past Olympic Athletes. I imagine this year in the US Olympic coverage, over 50% of the yammering will be Black Females. That's what I'm mostly seeing in the lead up Commercials. Maybe there should be a service that dubs over the Coverage with who ever you want to hear doing the coverage and commentary.
I see C-span as a godsend because they mostly let the pictures tell the story when it comes to live events. As for the Olympics, we do expect to see analysis and people talking over the action because most of the action is sports action so you expect somewhat instant reactions. The problem I have are people talking over the Opening and Closing ceremonies. Even then, I would not have a problem with people talking over the Parade of nations, especially when it is to spotlight certain athletes.
