Mods. We need a perma pin in this one. But seriously, I always heard that kennedy had a backchannel with the Russians after the whole missile crisis thing. Kennedy realized that Russian and US generals wanted war to feed the “ industrial complex”. I think the meetings were in Cuba? I’m not a super expert on this theory but it makes sense that a high level back channel with russian black hats have been maintained over the decades.
Putin told Tucker that Russia has always allied with America, but DC politics was always against it. Beautiful Q.
