When I was a kid, we had a power outage due to a huge snow and ice storm. We had gas...so we lived in the kitchen for the duration, with the oven and stove keeping us toasty. My Mom, Dad and Grandmother told stories about "the good ol' days.....we played cards and board games....and I look back on this "crisis" with great fondness.
