Islamic marriage can be to four wives.

And I have a busy who is married to his business. Lol

Whether you believe marriage was originally defined by God or the Gods or is of human cultural origin, we as a species keep adding new variations of marriage and sometimes restricting other variations. I don't anticipate that changing anytime soon.
