Where is this said?
Because I Tim 1:4 says to avoid them.
King Nebuchadnezzar wasn't an Israelite and yet he professed God at the end of his life. King Naaman wasn't an Israelite and he was healed of his leprosy in the river Jordan by God. Rahab wasn't an Israelite and yet she is in the lineage of our Lord. Ruth was a Moabite and also in the lineage of our Lord.
God doesn't care about ancestry and nor shall I. Because it is unchangeable to a person like the color of their skin. God only cares about the hearts of people.
As for Hebrews God is saying what I am saying. Everyone everywhere can come to God and submit to Him. No more boundaries, no temples, no washings.
She wasn't, she was a Moabite. They had their own people and their own gods. Ruth 1:15.
I know. That's clear. The Church is God's people. The rest of what you said sounds like something I would get from the history channel on who are God's chosen people.
I do appreciate the specific use of only scripture so thank you for doing that. In regards to Moab, they didn't take all the land of Moab at that time. Deuteronomy 2:9 and 19 talks of land that God told them not to disturb for he had given it to the descendants of Lot. (Moabites and Ammonites). They most assuredly conquered the land from King Sihon and King Og however the Israelites didn't disobey God and raze the cities in the land he just told them not to touch.
Well, I'm saying I believe exactly what scripture says. God did not give them the land in which He has set out for Lots descendants which were the Moabites and the Ammonites. Yes King Sihon and Og took some of their land and that land was taken by Israel however there still was land left untouched by those two kings since Israel took all that those two kings had and divided it amongst the 2.5 tribes.
Scripture has to make sense and this is the only outcome that makes sense. Otherwise, God didn't keep land for Lot's descendants or Israel disobeyed God. And the former cannot happen because God keeps His promises and if it were the latter there would have been severe consequence for conquering land which God told them not to.
It now makes sense, that you are coming from a university with all of this.
I will say it again. To the Jew first and also to the Greek. Lineage means nothing.
