It doesn't.

We have all sorts of laws that are intended to prevent the overgrowth and monopolization of technology and services, they just go unused.

Microsoft is even bigger and more monopolistic than before they were struck with antitrust rulings, and they have stated intentions to continue their expansion into as many different markets as they can reach.

Capitalism is still great, it's just weakened by weak willed individuals who take cash and favors in exchange for letting things slide.

Cronyism is the problem, and it affects all facets of life beyond capitalism so why single it out? It makes no sense.

The fact is, a significant portion of our economy and ideology are tainted by socialistic and communistic practices far beyond normal capitalism.
