No. USFL had folded well before that. Ralph Wilson passed and his family wanted the $$$$... It was an interesting time in the bidding war. Offers were tendered by many including Jon Bon Jovi and group who wanted to move them to Toronto. DJT made a competitive offer and wanted the Bills to stay in WNY. The owners declined DJT and the others for a local Billionaire Terry Pegula who also acquired the Sabres later. So... the world can once again blame Buffalo/NFL for turning Trump from sports to saving the world!!! Well played Buffalo, well played!
