How do we know that the likes were locked? A move from 1.7 Million to 1.8 Million is, at maximum, 100,000 likes. The amount of likes the mugshot might get is bound to slow over time, so seeing a slow build to 1.8 Million is unsurprising.

What evidence is there that the likes are being locked "via back end coding"?
