The second question is, why did they release such an amateurish Photo-shopped picture created from a previously released photo in which the sloppy errors are so easy to spot? IMO it can only be intentional. Added to that are the very public "kill" notices to retract the image as a fake. Once again, why?
The logical conclusion is that they are focusing attention on the fact that there are no images or information about Kate since last year (before the "abdominal surgery"). When viewed within the context of the recent problems for the royals (illnesses, cancer, suicide, etc.) it just gets even more interesting, in a sinister sort of way.
