Are there not solar "farms" all over, not just Ohio? What's the deal with Knox County (why is it singled out in this mapping project)? [Never mind - I see in your comment that it is just an example.]
A friend of mine lives in another Ohio county and she said a solar farm is going in the field right behind her house. I told her about the fire risks based on the Google rooftop fire stories I'd read. She has horses, I'm sure she's concerned about the extra heat. If I was her I'd be looking to move.
Why are the county governments allowing this shit to happen? And if they're giving tax breaks, what's in it for them? You'd think they'd want to squeeze these companies for extra tax dollars, not give them tax breaks. Good Lord, these are "crops" we can't eat. The land will be poisoned with the chemical leaching and so in the future if these are ever torn down, the land will still be unusable. What a cluster fuck. :(
This is just an example. We can always add or take away things. You are correct there are things all over though. There are also many more things we could map out. So take the overall idea and not the specifics.

Great question though appreciate you asking :)
