Casualties of this war… relationships, marriage, financial independence, home ownership, and so on Seems the faster the drips are happening, the more

Quickly things are falling apart personally. Been self-employed for more than 15 years, shrinking disposable incomes have left significant losses (more than $100k) in sales last year alone, forcing the sale of the family farm. Stress has now increased to a point my spouse drinks heavily everyday as an escape and I’m left being the “grown up” in our relationship. Lost more than 15 lbs since the holidays, lack of sleep, Tired of struggling with what seems no relief
Sure would appreciate prayers and any uplifting recommendations for an escape, if not just a momentarily.
I pray God comes through with a blessing. I'm not passing any judgement, I have no clue what your situation is but, if your spouse is drinking heavily every day, I can see where some of your disposable income is going.
Chances are your spouse is not working if getting intoxicated each day. Time to open the can of worms. I am sure his/her time could be used more constructively to help bring in extra income if he/she was sober. Don't put all the blame in his/her direction, say, "Hey, WE need to step up our game plan before we become homeless".
I am sure there are options, you have to go find them, they will not find you.
Like others said here, we are hopefully near the end of this bad economic period. The reason your self-employment income is suffering is because most everyone is suffering a hit to their disposable income. I just heard everyone is paying $11,000 more per year for necessities when compared to years under Trump.
Hang in there, things will get better real soon.
