Evil. Poor man. I hope some good hearted attorney steps up and helps him, pro bono.
They didn't have to prove he was a drug dealer, he has to prove he isn't.
So.... guilty until proven innocent? That's the total opposite of how it's supposed to work.
Feel real bad for this guy.
Remember the stories of the FBI raiding safety deposit boxes of random people a few years ago. The federal government is full of criminals.
This is terrible. But, why would you travel by plane with wads of cash? Knowing how inept TSA is, baggage handlers, etc. rent or take your car and drive it. Stay off the radar. “We were alerted you were traveling with cash”. WTF
It’s called civil asset forfeiture, but it’s just another name for robbery
Monero, bro
Why not to use a bank account, debit card or check? Why bring cash? I don’t understand. Can someone explain this to me.
If you're paying some guy, he may not want a check. Your bank might not have easy withdrawal options in other states and many just prefer using cash.
I have a credit union account now. I dont trust the banks anymore.
Something smells fishy here. There are a lot of safer ways to get the money to the bank or anywhere than just carry cash .
regadless we are innocent until proven guilty and this is a crime against We The People
I've always bought used cars with cash. Nobody will trust your check.
If the plane doesn't get you....the TSA will.
