The judge came to the conclusion of fact that Fani had at least the appearance of conflict (as well as a number of ethical violations). His interpretation of the law allowed her to stay on the prosecution. Interpretations of law can be appealed to higher courts. Facts not as much.
I understand this judge donated to Fani’s election campaign. Is that not conflict of interest?
To be fair from what I’ve seen all of Fulton County is a conflict of interest. I mean we’re talking about Fani Willis being a corrupt prosecutor but keep in mind she was a JUDGE too. But I’m a random person on the internet and not a lawyer so take my commentary with a grain of salt.
One big black pill for me has been that concept, that there is little avenue for recourse if a lower court judge determines “fact” as completely wrong.
